In a statement to abc27 on Wednesday, Tim Hinegardner, Vice President of Environmental Health and Safety for The Hershey Company, said “Employee safety is our top priority.  We take any feedback from employees seriously and work closely with OSHA to investigate the issue and take corrective actions.”
Since 2020 there have been six OSHA investigations regarding The Hershey Company’s Reese Ave location. Citations issued cited incidents and issues including a partial finger amputation from a mixing machine, lack of fall protection, a lack of machine guarding, no protection from an oven’s stored energies, and employees exposed to caught-in hazards.
